The one topic that I enjoyed learning from this first semester is 1.7 circles. The reason why i enjoyed doing that topic is because I really enjoyed making the circles and learning how to get the radius of them.
A problem of the week (POW) that was challenging yet successfully solved is introduction to Deductive reasoning. What was challenging about this POW was that i had to figure out deciphering the text. Its like a riddle. My strategies that i used to solve this problem were using what the promblem gave me which was the riddle and what i already knew.
"The mathematician does not study pure mathematics because it is useful; he studies it because he delights in it and he delights in it because it is beautiful"
My reaction to this qoute is that we all have our differnt types of beauty. For example I would call the sunset behind the mountains beautiful or someone might think the desert is beautiful. From What I found in math what i think is beautiful is having the ability to take the things around you and putting it into a problem.
